Overview
This display riser is stable and robust, designed to elevate your monitor to eye level for comfortable viewing.
I designed it after one too many afternoons hunched over a desk, looking down at a screen that was a few centimeters too low. A monitor sitting flat on the desk forces your neck to bend forward for hours, and that adds up fast if you spend your day at a computer, whether you are coding, doing CAD work, or just browsing. Raising the screen to eye level is one of the cheapest and most effective ergonomic fixes there is, and a 3D printed riser costs nothing but a bit of filament and print time.
The base is intentionally wide and low, so the riser sits flat and does not wobble even under a heavier monitor. There is no assembly involved: it prints as a single piece and is ready to use as soon as it comes off the bed. The shape also leaves clearance underneath, so you can slide a keyboard, a notepad, or small accessories into the space you just freed up on the desk.
It prints without any supports thanks to the flat base and the gently sloped sides, so it is a good candidate for PLA if you want a fast, low-cost print, or PETG if you would like a bit more long-term rigidity under constant load. I use mine daily under a secondary monitor on my own desk, and it has not budged since the day I printed it.
If your desk setup uses more than one monitor at different distances from you, it is worth printing risers of slightly different heights for each one; matching eye level across a multi-monitor setup makes a bigger difference to comfort over a full day than most people expect from such a simple piece of plastic.
It is one of those parts you print once, forget about, and only think of again years later when you notice how naturally your neck is angled while working, no strain, no slouching, just a small, quiet fix that keeps doing its job in the background.
