Overview
I created this exhaust hose adapter for Bambu Lab P1S to reduce bad smells while printing with ASA and ABS filaments in small rooms.
The adapter has slots to add a hermetic seal and improve the overall performance.
The assembly is easy: use the 4x M3 holes beside the exhaust output grid in the rear panel. You must remove the existing screw on the left, and use 3 additional screws (top, bottom, right) to fix it.
I recommend using a PVC flexible exhaust tube for 3” (8 cm) tubes fixed with a metal clamp.
Note: THIS MODEL IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH Bambu Lab AMS HUB.
Please use thenew version of the Exhaust Hose Adapterif you installed the AMS Hub on your printer to use multiple AMS or the AMS HT.
My original 3D model is publicly available on OnShape. You can modify it to adapt to your requirements.
I also provided a version with a 90° angle.
Settings:
- Filament: PETG
- Layer height: 0.2 mm or adaptive layer to obtain a smoother surface
- Infill: Gyroid 15%
- Supports: Normal supports only on the build plate

The 80 mm diameter matches standard flexible ducting hose sold for exactly this kind of application, so you are not stuck sourcing an odd size or trimming a hose down to fit. If your exhaust routing needs to change direction shortly after leaving the printer rather than running straight, I also published a 90 degree elbow version of this same adapter, which keeps the bend in a rigid printed fitting instead of forcing the flexible hose itself into a tight, airflow-restricting kink.
Venting exhaust from ASA and ABS prints out of the room, rather than just relying on an enclosure’s carbon filter, makes a noticeable difference to how a small print room smells after a long print, and this adapter is the piece that turns a printer’s stock exhaust port into something you can actually connect a hose to.
A small print, but one that changes how comfortable it is to run ASA or ABS jobs indoors.
A short piece of plastic that keeps a whole room smelling better.
Securing the hose with a proper metal clamp rather than tape or a zip tie is worth the extra minute too, since the joint needs to stay sealed under the light vibration of a printer running for hours at a time, not just hold on the day you install it.
