Ladies’ toilet door sign
I put this set of signs together after noticing how many small offices, workshops, and makerspaces get by with nothing but a handwritten note taped to the bathroom door, or worse, no sign at all. A proper set of restroom signs is one of those small details that makes a shared space feel finished, and it is exactly the kind of practical, unglamorous object 3D printing is good for: a flat, single-color pictogram that would cost real money to buy from a signage shop, but only a few grams of filament and a short print to make yourself.
I kept the design as a simple, high-contrast silhouette rather than a detailed illustration, since a door sign has to be read at a glance from a few meters away, often in a dim hallway. The flat profile prints quickly with no supports, and a single print gives you a rigid, wipeable sign that will hold up far longer than a paper printout taped to the door.

Use double-sided tape to hang it. The 3 mm thickness is enough to keep the sign flat and rigid on the door without adding unnecessary weight or print time, and the flat back sits cleanly against a painted or laminate door surface.

The 20 cm height keeps it easy to read from down a hallway while still being small enough not to look out of place on a standard interior door, which is the balance I aimed for across all three signs in the set rather than sizing them like commercial signage.
